FIFA has announced an exciting new partnership with global tech giants Lenovo and Motorola Mobility as preparations ramp up for the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup™ in 2025. The expanded-format tournament will feature 32 of the world’s most successful club teams from all six confederations, promising a global celebration of football like never before.

Through this partnership, Lenovo and Motorola will provide innovative tech solutions to enhance the fan experience both on and off the pitch. Motorola, a Lenovo-owned brand, has also been named the Official Smartphone Partner for the tournament, positioning itself at the heart of this historic football milestone.

FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström welcomed the collaboration, describing the Club World Cup 2025 as “a new era in global club football – one that is inclusive, innovative, and more connected than ever before.” He praised Lenovo and Motorola for bringing world-class technology and a global perspective to the table, adding that their involvement would “elevate the experience for fans, teams, and stakeholders.”

The partnership builds on Lenovo’s existing role as FIFA’s Official Technology Partner, a relationship that began in October 2024. This latest agreement reaffirms the company’s commitment to advancing the digital transformation of football.

Motorola President Sergio Buniac emphasized the brand’s excitement: “The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 is an incredible opportunity to spotlight not just elite football clubs but also the power of innovation. We’re proud to support this moment with smarter technology that connects fans around the world.”

With the support of Lenovo and Motorola, FIFA aims to deliver a world-class tournament that blends elite football with cutting-edge technology—offering fans a truly immersive and inclusive experience.
