The Prime Minister of the Republic of India, His Excellency Narendra Modi, is scheduled to pay a two-day official visit to Ghana from Wednesday, July 2 to Thursday, July 3, 2025, according to a statement from the Presidency.
The visit, which underscores the warm and longstanding relations between Ghana and India, will focus on strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations.
It will feature a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Modi and President John Dramani Mahama at the Presidency, where discussions will center on deepening cooperation in key sectors such as trade, investment, agriculture, technology, education, healthcare, and energy.
The leaders are also expected to exchange views on regional and global matters of mutual concern.
According to the statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, the visit will include the signing of several bilateral agreements aimed at consolidating existing cooperation frameworks between the two countries.
Additionally, President Mahama will host a State Dinner in honour of Prime Minister Modi and his delegation. The two leaders will also address a joint press conference as part of the official programme.
The Presidency noted that the visit is expected to bolster bilateral ties, foster stronger economic collaboration, and further solidify the bonds of friendship between the peoples of Ghana and India.
