The agreements were unveiled during the first leg of Modi’s five-nation African tour, which will conclude at the BRICS Summit in Brazil.

President Mahama during a joint press briefing at Jubilee House in Accra indicated, “this is not just a visit, it is a renewal of our shared dreams for a prosperous and interconnected Global South,”.

Among the significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed are:
* Establishment of a Permanent Joint Commission to institutionalize high-level engagements.
* A landmark collaboration in traditional medicine between the Institute of Traditional and Alternative Medicine in Ghana and India’s Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda.
* A Cultural Exchange Programme to foster greater people-to-people ties.
* Partnership between the Ghana Standards Authority and the Bureau of Indian Standards, ensuring harmonization of quality benchmarks across industries.

President Mahama also conferred one of the country’s highest honors , Office of the order of the Star of Ghana on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
