Some executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ahafo Region have vowed to take action against any government worker who attempts to sabotage the policies of President John Dramani Mahama.

During a visit to the VRA/NEDCo office in Goaso, the party executives, alongside the regional minister, questioned the reasons behind the frequent power outages in the area.

In an interview, the Regional Youth Organiser, Masawudu Suleman, rejected the explanation from the station manager, claiming it lacks credibility. He alleged that the outages are part of a deliberate plan to discredit the government in the region.

Masawudu warned that the executives have put in place measures to identify and remove government workers who act against the progress of the Mahama-led administration. He stressed that the party has worked tirelessly to bring the NDC to power and will not allow individuals, especially those affiliated with the NPP, to sabotage the government from within.

Meanwhile, the Regional Organiser, Loaman Iddrisu Dauda, also accused some NPP sympathizers within state institutions of plotting to make the government fail. He assured party supporters that the NDC leadership in the region will not sit back and allow that to happen.

Dauda criticized the VRA/NEDCo manager’s explanation that fallen trees are causing the blackouts, which have sparked public anger toward the government. He described the excuse as unacceptable and urged the manager to act immediately. He warned that if the situation persists, the party will push for his removal and replacement with someone more competent.
