Third National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Alhaji Osman Masawudu, has condemned recent remarks made by party executive member and flagbearer aspirant Dr. Bryan Acheampong to the party’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako.

Recent reports indicate that the Member of Parliament for Abetifi, during a council meeting, told Chairman Wontumi to “shut up,” reportedly justifying it by claiming he had bailed him out of custody from EOCO.

Speaking on an outdoor broadcast of Happy 98.9FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show with host BB, the Vice Chairman acknowledged the exceptional character of Dr. Bryan Acheampong and his empathy towards people.

However, he indicated that the comment made by Dr. Acheampong does not reflect his stature or personal image. “If he had yelled at him, I would not have found it an issue, but to tell your fellow council member to shut up because you bailed him is not right,” he stated.

Alhaji Masawudu noted that the actions of the flagbearer aspirant must be condemned and not encouraged within the party. “Let us condemn what must be condemned and not encourage such actions,” he said.
