A serious road accident occurred along the Odumasi three-lane stretch in Asante Akyem Central Municipality, leaving six people injured, including one in critical condition.
The crash happened when a Chevrolet Spark taxi (GE 9167-23), traveling from Konongo to Nobewam, attempted to overtake and collided with two oncoming trucks, a MAN diesel truck (GR 5774) and a flatbed truck (GW 5462-24) coming from Kumasi.
Eyewitnesses report that the impact was severe. One individual was critically injured and rushed to the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital for emergency treatment. Five others sustained minor injuries and were treated and discharged at Hope Care Specialist Hospital in Ohene Nkwanta.
Authorities are investigating the scene and cautioning drivers to exercise vigilance, especially during overtaking on busy stretches.
