The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has announced the temporary closure of the Trauma and Surgical Emergency Unit at the 37 Military Hospital for routine fumigation and maintenance.
According to a press release issued and signed by Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin (Ghana Navy), Acting Director General of Public Relations at Burma Camp, the facility will be closed from Monday, August 4 to Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
This exercise forms part of the hospital’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and ensuring the safety of both patients and staff.
During the closure, the Simango Ward will serve as the temporary ward for handling all trauma and surgical emergency cases.
The military has assured the public that adequate measures have been put in place to ensure continuity of care and to minimize any inconvenience this may cause.
