Founder and leader of the Life Assembly Worship Center, Christian Kwabena Andrews, has welcomed the Presidency’s recent call on strengthening spiritual partnerships for national direction and healing, describing it as “a step in the right direction.”
Speaking in an interview on Happy FM’s Morning Show with Sefah-Danquah, Apostle Andrews expressed concern over the rise of false prophecies in the country, saying such predictions often cause fear and panic among the public.
He cited past instances where prophecies about the deaths of certain leaders and Members of Parliament were made, noting that such actions were irresponsible. “Owusu Bempah claimed he foresaw a certain event and wanted to undertake a spiritual direction, calling many leaders to inform them but that’s not true. If he wanted to do something, he wouldn’t have to wait too long,” Andrews argued during his interview on the Happy Morning Show.
According to him, Ghanaians have trivialized matters regarding prophecy on social media. According to him acclaimed prophets found spreading predictions without following instituted procedures must face the law. “We are saying, rather than making such statements publicly, bring them to the right authorities,” he added.
To address the problem, Apostle Andrews proposed that government create an official platform for recording prophecies. “They should open a website, put your name, your number, and your prophecy there. No one should just go online to say anything,” he suggested.
Mr. Kwabena Andrews stressed that such measures would help distinguish genuine prophecies from false ones, restore public trust, and ensure that spiritual guidance contributes positively to national peace and unity.
