The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has refuted media reports claiming that ten of its top directors have been instructed to stay home while continuing to receive full salaries.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, COCOBOD management described the reports as “misleading,” stressing that no director has been asked to stay at home and draw salary.
The statement further clarified that no director is currently on leave, with the exception of the former Director of Finance, who had not gone on leave for the past eight years.
Management explained that recent staff transfers and reassignments are part of a strategic realignment aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness within the organization.
COCOBOD urged the public to disregard the reports and rely on official communication from its Public Affairs Department.
