President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Singapore for a three-day State Visit aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation and unlocking new opportunities between Ghana and the Southeast Asian nation.

The update was shared on Facebook by the Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu who noted that the visit will focus on strengthening partnerships in trade and investment, education, science and innovation, urban solutions, agribusiness, and the digital economy.

While in Singapore, President Mahama is scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with the President of the Republic of Singapore, H.E. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, and the Prime Minister, Lawrence Wong.

He will also deliver the keynote address at the 8th Africa–Singapore Business Forum (ASBF) and headline a Ghana country-specific Investment and Business Forum, bringing together leaders from both the public and private sectors.

Speaking on arrival, President Mahama noted that Ghana and Singapore share a forward-looking outlook anchored in innovation, skills, and enterprise. He expressed optimism that the visit would translate shared values into practical cooperation, attract Singaporean investment into Ghana’s priority sectors, and open new opportunities for Ghanaian businesses across Southeast Asia.

The President is accompanied Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minister for Foreign Affairs; Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry; Haruna Iddrisu, Minister for Education; and Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Advisor and Special Aide to the President.

Also on the delegation are Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Presidential Spokesperson and Minister of State for Government Communications; Simon Madjie, Chief Executive of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre; and Francis Kwarteng Arthur, Chief Executive of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority.
