Former Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate aspirant, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will today, Thursday, August 28, 2025, officially file his nomination forms at the party’s headquarters in Accra.
In a statement shared on his official campaign platforms, Dr. Bawumia indicated that the submission will take place today as part of his bid to contest the party’s presidential primaries.
The move forms part of the processes leading up to the NPP’s internal elections to select a flagbearer for the 2028 general elections. Dr. Bawumia, who has served as Ghana’s Vice President since 2017 until January 2025, is among the leading contenders in the race.
The filing of his nomination is expected to draw support from party members and loyalists who believe in his leadership vision.
