Minister for Communication, Digital Innovation and Technology, Sam Nartey George has announced the willingness of MultiChoice Ghana to address the pricing concerns for monthly package.

The Minister speaking at a press conference on Friday revealed that MultiChoice’s compliance comes just a day before a terminal shut down of its operations on Saturday, September 6, 2025. “However ahead of the expiration of the suspension notice tomorrow, MultiChoice yesterday reached out to the Ministry and the regulator indicating now a willingness to comply,” he said.

According to George MultiChoice Ghana will address the pricing concerns through a consultative process facilitated by the ministry to ensure a smooth and fair reduction.

The ministry in this regard, has established a stakeholder committee comprising representatives from the Ministry, National Communications Authority (NCA) , MultiChoice Ghana and MultiChoice Africa to be chaired by the Minister.

Meanwhile, MultiChoice Ghana has requested for a 30-day window to ascertain a viable percentage for the requested reduction.
