Black Stars Shine Despite loss to Russia

The Black Stars of Ghana put up a stupendous performance against the Golden Eagles of Russia despite losing narrowly by 1-0 as both side clashed in a high-profile friendly in Moscow Tuesday evening.
Russia got the only goal of the game on the 20th minute mark through Krasnodar attacker Fyodor Smolov who capitalized on a pass from Andrey Semenov.
Avram Grant’s charges passed and ball around very well and looked assured with possession but lacked the bite upfront as they fluffed several chances to at least pull parity.
Below are the players who started for the Black Stars
22. A. Kwarasey
23 H. Afful
21 J. Boye 53′
4 J. Mensah
17 A. Baba
11 W. Mubarak
6 A. Acquah
5 T. Partey
9 J. Ayew
7 C. Atsu
22 F. Acheampong
