Several areas in Accra were flooded on Tuesday, October 7, following a downpour that began shortly after 2 PM.
The rainfall caused severe flooding in low-lying areas such as Mallam, Barrier, Kaneshie, Circle, and Adabraka. Many roads became unmotorable, leaving vehicles stranded and forcing others to turn back.
Commuters faced significant challenges as traffic slowed to a crawl and public transport services were disrupted. Many people were seen struggling to reach their destinations amid the chaos.
So far, no injuries or fatalities have been reported. Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
Some residents who spoke to Happy News expressed their frustration over the recurring floods, describing how disruptive and exhausting the situation has become.
