The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu has emphasized that STEM education is the future, as government pushes forward with plans to modernize the country’s education system.

Speaking to the media after donating new BSTEM equipment to enhance science and technology education in the Northern Region , the a minister revealed that his ministry is revising the national curriculum from kindergarten to junior high school, with a strong focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

According to him, the new curriculum will introduce subjects like electronics, robotics, coding, and artificial intelligence to prepare young learners for a technology-driven world. The Minister noted that a committee is finalizing the framework and is expected to roll it out by next month.

He cautioned regional and district education directors against hoarding teaching and learning materials, urging them to ensure that all resources reach schools and students who need them most.

The Education Minister further pledged accountability and transparency, assuring Ghanaians that his leadership will uphold dignity and integrity in all its operations.
