The Youth Employment Agency (YEA), in collaboration with the Ghana Prisons Service, has successfully held a Passing-Out Ceremony for the second batch of Prison Service Assistants under the YEA’s Prisons Assistants Module.
The ceremony, held at the Ankaful Maximum Security Prison in the Central Region, was led by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of YEA, Abubakari Saana Abdul-Kudus, on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Malik Basintale.
The event marks yet another milestone in the YEA’s partnership with the Ghana Prisons Service aimed at training and deploying 5,000 young Ghanaians to support the operations of correctional facilities across the country.
Addressing the newly trained officers, Mr. Abdul-Kudus commended them for their hard work, discipline, and dedication throughout their training period.
He urged them to uphold integrity, professionalism, and good conduct as they begin their service at various prisons nationwide.
He assured them of the Agency’s continued support, emphasizing that the YEA, together with the Ghana Prisons Service, will provide the necessary logistics and resources to enable them perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
Mr. Abdul-Kudus highlighted that the initiative aligns with YEA’s broader mission to create decent and sustainable jobs for Ghanaian youth while contributing to the strengthening of the country’s internal security system.
