Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has praised President John Dramani Mahama’s administration for what he described as an “excellent” performance during its first ten months in office.
Speaking on the floor of Parliament on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, as the House reconvened, Mr. Ayariga commended the government for achieving stability across key sectors of the economy.
He cited several notable gains, including the stabilisation of the cedi, a return to single-digit inflation, consistent power supply and an improved economic rating by Fitch.
“The Ghana cedi is gaining strength and stabilising. So far, so excellent. Inflation has dropped to single digits, prices are falling, and life is becoming more affordable for the ordinary Ghanaian. So far, so excellent,” Mr. Ayariga declared.
He further noted that the Mahama-led government has been meeting its debt obligations responsibly while avoiding unnecessary borrowing, a move he said reflects prudent fiscal management.
Mr. Ayariga expressed optimism that the government’s current trajectory would continue to deliver growth and stability for Ghanaians.
