Several people are feared dead following a tragic road accident near the Kasoa tollbooth in the Central Region on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Eyewitnesses say a fully loaded Sprinter minibus with registration number GW 7455-18 crashed into the rear of a Jeep 4×4 (GR 7673) that was allegedly reversing on the highway.
The impact caused the minibus, which was heading toward Kasoa, to somersault several times, resulting in multiple fatalities on the spot and leaving several passengers with severe injuries.
Emergency responders reportedly faced difficulties transferring a critically injured victim after initial treatment at the Ngleshie Amanfro Polyclinic, as efforts to find a major health facility ready to receive the patient took nearly an hour.
Police and emergency authorities are yet to release an official statement on the number of casualties or the exact cause of the crash.
