An accident at the Downside section of the Achimota Forest Roundabout, near the DSTV bus stop, has claimed the life of a tricycle driver.
The crash, which occurred on Friday, involved a Benz car and a tricycle loaded with refuse. The violent impact left both vehicles severely damaged, with the tricycle completely mangled.
Eyewitnesses described the collision as devastating, noting that the tricycle driver died instantly at the scene.
Police have since arrested the driver of the Benz, who is assisting with investigations to ascertain the cause of the crash.
The accident has caused heavy traffic congestion in the area as emergency services and police worked to clear the wreckage and restore the flow of vehicles.
