Veteran Ghanaian coach J.E. Sarpong has made disturbing revelations about life inside Premier League club Eleven Wonders following his unexpected resignation after just three games.
In an interview with Happy Sports, J.E Sarpong highlighted poor player welfare, insisting that the club’s management must rethink their priorities.
“Player welfare must be treated as a core priority by club owners, managers and administrators.”
He added that during a recent trip to face Hohoe United, the situation was so dire that the players almost refused to play.
“The squad nearly boycotted the match and travelled without a coach.”
Sarpong also expressed concern over the players’ living conditions.
“Players are struggling to the extent that basic necessities like toothpaste are difficult to afford.”
Despite the issues, Sarpong believes talent exists within the team but poor administration is holding them back.
Eleven Wonders currently sit at the bottom of the league with just three points from 11 matches. They will take on Dreams FC in their Matchday 12 fixture, with a replacement for Sarpong yet to be announced.
