The Ghana Police Service has arrested a woman captured in a viral video assaulting a man, following a swift operation by the Inspector-General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team.
The suspect, identified as Esther Nana Afia Sarfowaa, was picked up on Wednesday, 27th November 2025, at Subriso in the Ahafo Ano North Constituency of the Ashanti Region.
A second suspect, Stephen Ofori, was later arrested at Nkawie, also in the Ashanti Region, for his alleged role in the incident.
According to the Police, both suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue. Security officials say efforts are underway to apprehend three additional suspects who are still on the run.
The Ghana Police Service has assured the public of its unwavering commitment to ensuring that all individuals involved in the assault are brought to justice.
