The East Legon Executive Fitness Club is all set to host the 2025 edition of the East Legon Executive Community Games, a multicultural sporting festival that promotes competition, unity, networking, and cultural exchange.

The much-anticipated event comes off on Friday, December 5, 2025, with activities beginning at 5:00 a.m. at the East Legon Executive Fitness Club.

This year’s Games will feature participation from four major groups; East Legon Executives, The Lebanese Community, The Chinese Community and OmniBSIC Bank

Participants will take part in a range of exciting sporting disciplines, including football, table tennis, and several fitness challenges designed to foster teamwork, strengthen community bonds, and promote healthy living.

Organizers highlight that the Community Games have become a key annual platform for strengthening relationships among the diverse communities within the East Legon enclave. Over the years, the event has grown in visibility and continues to attract overwhelming community and corporate support.

The 2025 edition is proudly sponsored by OmniBSIC Bank, with additional support from the Lebanese Community, the Chinese Community, and the East Legon Executive Fitness Club. With preparations at full throttle, anticipation is high for a day filled with sportsmanship, cultural celebration, and friendly rivalry.

Representatives from the participating groups in an interview on Happy 98.9fm have expressed their excitement ahead of the big day.

Lebanese Community representative Mohammed Hamdi emphasized the cultural significance of the occasion, especially as it coincides with Farmers’ Day:

“So tomorrow happens to be Farmers’ Day. And this day is actually a huge day for everybody. Not just for Ghanaians, not just for Lebanese, it’s for everybody. These are the people who put food on our table. So all we do is put it in our flavor. We are participating tomorrow to have fun and bring our people together. There will be good interaction. You know, sports unite people and also team building. Same thing as food. We will let them taste our food, we will taste the Ghana food, and I think there will be Chinese food as well.”

East Legon Executives’ representative Sammy Osei Kuffuor spoke boldly about their dominance on the home turf:

“Even our young executives can’t beat us. The likes of Agyemang Badu and co are unable to beat we the so-called older ones. If you come and see our president, Dr. Ofori Sarpong, in defense you will be shocked. We have very good players. We haven’t lost a game at our home turf before, so we can’t be taken lightly.”

From OmniBSIC Bank, Divisional Head George Ocansey delivered a spirited assurance of their readiness:

“If you want to see these qualities, just show up tomorrow morning and look out for me — number nine jersey. We are very much aware of the players our opponents will parade. Like I mentioned, we have actually been training in Europe. We just don’t want to disclose the location, but we have top international managers who supervised our pre-event training. So for tomorrow, no doubt about it, we are winning both events.”

With friendly banter heating up and confidence running high across all competing teams, the stage is set for another memorable edition of the East Legon Executive Community Games, a day that promises spirited contests, cultural exchange, and unforgettable community bonding.
