The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has provided an update on the ongoing trial of the former Chief Executive of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), stating that proceedings on 8 December 2025 continued with a pending motion to introduce an additional witness.

The OSP in an official statement indicated that the court has adjourned the matter to 20 January 2026 for further hearing.

According to the OSP, the current Special Prosecutor has “dutifully” managed the case since assuming office, and a recent internal review necessitated a strategic redirection of how the trial is being conducted.

The Office maintained that all actions taken so far are guided by its commitment to act in the best interest of the Republic.

The case traces back to the “Contracts for Sale” investigative exposé, which alleged procurement improprieties involving the former PPA boss, Mr. Adjenim Boateng Adjei.

A subsequent CHRAJ investigation led to adverse findings that were later overturned by a High Court on procedural grounds.

The OSP later filed its own charges, with the matter experiencing multiple changes in strategy, witness issues, and adjournments, leading to the current phase of the trial.
