The Ashanti South Police Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, has intensified public security awareness activities as the Christmas festive season approaches.

The exercise, which took place during an awareness creation campaign, was aimed at encouraging the general public to celebrate moderately and responsibly during this year’s Christmas festivities.

Speaking during the exercise, the Deputy Ashanti South Regional Police Commander assured residents that adequate security measures have been put in place to protect lives and property throughout the festive period. He emphasized that there was no cause for panic, as security agencies remain fully prepared to ensure the safety of all citizens.

The Deputy Commander, however, issued a strong warning to individuals with criminal intentions, cautioning that security agencies will deal decisively with anyone who attempts to disrupt the peace during the celebrations.

He further explained that the visible presence of security personnel during the awareness exercise is only symbolic, noting that more comprehensive strategies, including intensified surveillance and monitoring, will be implemented to maintain peace and tranquillity across the region during the festive season.
