Popular Ghanaian actress and television host Nana Ama McBrown has opened up about her personal life, confirming that she is now divorced after going through challenging moments over the past two years.

Her disclosure follows widespread public speculation that her marriage to Maxwell Mensah had ended, amid growing criticism and rumours surrounding the couple’s relationship.

Speaking in an interview with an Accra-based television station monitored by Happyghana.com, McBrown opened up about the personal challenges she has faced over the past two years.

She shared that, that difficult period was marked by health concerns, work pressures and marital issues.

Despite the struggles, the celebrated actress noted that she is now in a better place, describing herself as stronger and happier for having overcome the challenges she encountered.

“It’s been personal issues, I’ve gone through marriage issues, I’ve gone through my health issues and work. So these three things that I believe in fell apart but I’m happy because I’m able to come over them,” she said.

McBrown advised the public not to see divorce as the end of life, stressing that good health should be the top priority, as it is something money cannot buy.

According to her, whether one is married or divorced should not define their happiness.

She further confirmed that although she is divorced, she maintains a cordial relationship with her ex husband. The two, she said, communicate frequently, and she continues to visit his family.

“I’m happy where I am, oh, I’ve gone through divorce, and it has been a step, a roller coaster for me. And as I speak here, coming back to Onua, I must say that I’m the most happiest right now. I’ve gone through divorce, yes, I’m divorced and I’m not ashamed to say but I did it so beautifully,” she emphasized.

McBrown stated that she is currently at peace and living her happiest life.
