NPP Primaries: Delegates express growing fear of division after campaign — Global InfoAnalytics

A new delegates’ survey by Global InfoAnalytics has revealed rising concerns about possible division within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) following its internal campaign, even as an overwhelming majority of delegates remain confident the party will stay united after the primaries.

According to the poll, 89% of delegates surveyed in both November and December 2025 believe the NPP will be united after the primaries, indicating a steady and strong sense of optimism about party cohesion.

However, the proportion of delegates who think the party will not be united has doubled within a month, increasing from 3% in November to 6% in December.

The survey also shows a slight decline in the number of undecided delegates, with those expressing no opinion falling from 8% in November to 5% in December.

Analysts at Global InfoAnalytics attribute the growing fear of division among a minority of delegates to what they describe as “below-the-belt” or dirty campaigning by some rival camps within the party.

They argue that heightened rhetoric and negative tactics during the campaign period may be creating anxiety about post-primary reconciliation, despite the dominant belief that unity will ultimately prevail.
