President John Dramani Mahama has departed Accra on Sunday, January 11, 2026, for an official trip to the United Kingdom and Switzerland, where he is expected to engage in high-level meetings aimed at advancing Ghana’s development agenda.

In a statement issued by the Presidency and signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister for Government Communications, who also serves as Spokesperson to the President, the President will first travel to the United Kingdom to hold discussions with coordinators of the Accra Reset Initiative, a programme focused on repositioning the capital city for sustainable growth and development.

Following his engagements in the UK, President Mahama will proceed to Davos, Switzerland, to participate in a session of the World Economic Forum, which brings together global leaders, policymakers, and business executives to deliberate on pressing global economic and development issues.

The statement further noted that the President is expected to hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders on the sidelines of the Davos Forum, with discussions likely to focus on strengthening international cooperation and investment opportunities for Ghana.
