The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has released detailed guidelines for the conduct of its forthcoming Ayawaso East parliamentary primary in the Greater Accra Region.

In a statement dated January 20, 2026, the party announced that nomination forms for the primary will be obtained from and submitted to the NDC Greater Accra Regional Office after completion.

The party further indicated that the official delegates’ list will only be made available to aspirants after verification of payment of the approved filing fees into the party’s official account.

According to the guidelines, the cost of nomination forms has been fixed at GH₵5,000, while the filing fee is set at GH₵40,000. However, female aspirants and persons living with disabilities (PLWDs) will enjoy a 50 percent reduction in the filing fee.

The NDC also stressed that no cheques or bankers’ drafts will be accepted, adding that all payments must be made directly into the party’s official bank account at UMB, Adabraka Branch.

Additionally, the party said the official timetable for the primaries has been attached to the notice and urged all aspirants and stakeholders to strictly comply with the outlined timelines.

The party concluded by calling on all aspirants to conduct their campaigns and related activities with decency, unity, and fairness, in keeping with the principles of internal democracy.
