The fair commenced with an insightful panel discussion addressing the critical pillars of stable mortgages and the legal frameworks necessary to facilitate the acquisition of affordable homes for every Ghanaian.

In a welcome speech delivered by the Deputy Minister of Finance, Thomas Nyarko Ampem during the opening ceremony, he emphasized the government’s commitment to fiscal innovation, noting that the NHF is designed to provide sustainable, low-interest financial pathways that make the dream of owning a home a reality for the average worker.

Minister for Works, Housing, and Water Resources, Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, announced a number of initiatives which are believed to prioritize all manner of civil servants and government workers. He set the spotlight on the Greenfield Housing Project , which features the deliberate inclusion of retired civil servants in this new housing rollout, ensuring that those who have spent decades building the nation are not left without a roof over their heads in their years as retired people.

Representing the Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration) echoed the administration’s focus on worker welfare, stating that providing secure housing through the completion of all housing projects in Ghana. “The government of Ghana is committed to stimulating private sector investment in the housing delivery in Ghana. Central to this effort is the National Homeonership Fund. This fund was established to address one of the most critical barriers to homeownership in Ghana which is the lack of long term affordable housing finance.” she revealed.

Other dignatories present include Board Chair for the National Homeownership Fund, Okoamankra Kwame Akwonu X, Osu Mantse Notse Nii Nortey Owuo IV , Head of Civil Service of Ghana Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darkoh and the Deputy Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, Guse
