Presidential Adviser on National Resilience and Emergency Preparedness, Hon. Ernest Brogya Genfi has described Ghana’s Reset Agenda as a collective national mission that requires coordinated efforts between government, the private sector, and other stakeholders to achieve lasting economic transformation.
He said national development could not be achieved through government action alone, emphasising the importance of visionary public leadership working alongside a courageous and innovative private sector.
Delivering a keynote address on behalf of Ghana’s Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, at the 5th Ghana CEO Vision and Awards Gala, Hon. Brogya Genfi indicated that Ghana had reached a critical stage in its economic recovery, where the focus must shift from stabilisation towards long-term structural transformation.
He explained that while disciplined economic management, recalibrated monetary policy and strengthened financial sector oversight had contributed to improved macroeconomic conditions, the ultimate test of recovery would be the country’s ability to translate stability into jobs, production and expanded economic opportunities.
He maintained that the private sector had a central role to play in this transition through investment, innovation, enterprise development, and job creation.
Addressing business leaders, he urged them to move from “preservation to expansion, from caution to investment, and from local ambition to continental competitiveness.”
He also highlighted the government’s 24-Hour Economy initiative as part of efforts to transform time into a productive national asset by strengthening economic activity across transportation, logistics, service delivery, and other sectors.
Hon. Brogya Genfi added that the broader vision was to build an economy that was structurally competitive, industrially grounded, technology-driven, and resilient.
He challenged chief executive officers to see themselves as partners in nation-building, stressing that the success of the Reset Agenda would depend on the collective commitment of government and the business community to a shared vision of prosperity
