The owner of Accra-based Semis pub has appealed to the Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo to bring to book two accused persons who threatened the life a trial judge of the High Court.
Mr. Theodore Kwasi Amewu; otherwise known as Semi told Kwame Afrifa Mensah on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ afternoon show on Accra-based Happy FM that he is in court challenging the ownership of some sixteen stalls at Okaishie in the Central Business Districts of Accra.
He called on the lady Chief Justice to bring the actions to book to serve as a deterrent others. He said High Court had earlier ruled in favour of the two gentlemen (names withheld) including a reverend minister. He said his decision to appeal against the rulings has not gone down well with accused persons hence threats on the life of Justice Bernaksco in the open court.
He said the threat was so blatant that the trial judge has further recuse himself from the case pending before him. He contends the case involves impersonation on the part of the two individuals over his mother’s property at Okaishie. He claimed that the attitudes of the two must not be taken likely by the judicial service in the wake of the security for judges.
According to him, he has taken steps to have the matter reported to the Criminal Investigations Department and the property fraud unit of the Ghana Police Service.
