The Deputy Organizer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described the utterances of the sitting president that there are no strong coalitions for the right of gays smack of an act of  he being the ‘Chief Lobbyist’ for the gay community.
Joshua Akambi gave this description of the president on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben ‘show on Accra-based Happy FM hosted by Kwame Afrifa Mensah.
He noted the president as the’ Chief lobbyist’ for the gay community wants a strong coalition to push him to pass gay rights issues in the country.
The president is only waiting for the other lobbyists to push him by setting up a strong lobbyist coalition to have the homosexuality laws rectified.
According to him, the statement the made  by the president indicates he is the ‘chief lobbyist’ for the silent gay community in the country.
He noted that NPP’s subtle attempts to have ‘Sodom and Gomorrah’ into the moral fabric of Ghanaians culture will not be acceptable.
He said any decision by the Nana Akufo-Addo led government to legalize gay rights will be fiercely resisted in the country.
He claimed that Nana Addo’s utterance is an indication  he endorses gay rights when he knows Ghana is a secular state.
