So, when Mathew Opoku Prempeh, aka Napo, the current Education Minister, opened his snout to pour invectives on his predecessor, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, was Napo in his right frame of mind?
It is a known fact that Napo is an empty hot-headed braggart who flaunts his arrogance with impunity, but one would have thought that he will tread cautiously when it comes to attacking somebody like Professor Naana Opoku Agyemang, who is lightyears ahead of him when it comes to issues to do with managing Ghana’s Education Sector.
To all intents and purposes, there is no way Napo can compare himself to the learned Professor when it comes to academic credentials as well as knowledge of the Education Sector.
Apart from his first degree in dentistry from KNUST, what extra educational qualification does Napo have as compared to the plethora of qualifications the learned Professor has?
Does Napo know the number of midnight candles that the learned Professor burnt in order to become the first female Vice Chancellor of a prestigious public university such as the University of Cape Coast?
Number of persons who have acquired quality education and knowledge at the feet of the learned Professor?
Napo should tell us; How many people has he tutored or mentored?
What is Napo’s pedigree when it comes to issues to do with advancing the course of teaching and learning as compared to the immeasurable pedigree of the learned Professor?
Look at the way Ghana’s Education Sector has been messed up under the useless watch of Napo and his mindless NPP Government.
Look at the way the senseless Free Form One policy has turned Ghana’s secondary schools into “borla” schools.
Prestigious schools such as Achimota, and Wesley Girls High School, are now being ruined because of the mass-production free Form One Policy that has been introduced by visionless Napo and his equally visionless NPP Government.
Under the watch of the visionless leadership of Napo, the quality of education is being sacrificed on the altar of a senseless populist unachievable free-for-all policy.
Should Napo not be bowing down his head in shame for being the Education Minister who is overseeing the destruction of Ghana’s Education sector, instead of opening his snout and unwisely abusing people who did all they could to build the Education Sector?
Is it not a shame that when the NDC government under the watch of President Atta Mills began to earnestly eliminate schools under trees at the basic level, under the watch of Napo as Education Minister, schooling under trees is disgracefully being introduced at the secondary level?
Is it not under the visionless watch of Napo that, students are being fed with substandard diets?
Under the visionless watch of Napo that, innocent students are being made to sleep on bare floors and on corridors?
Is it not under the visionless watch of Napo that, innocent 13,14,15 year olds are being made to live in shacks – which are supposed to be hostels?
Visionless watch of Napo that, students are shitting in the open all over the country because the toilet facilities in the schools are inadequate to cater for the wholesale admission of students?
Is it not under the visionless watch of Napo that, school kids are being forced to sit on cement blocks because of the lack of chairs and desks in the classrooms?
not under the visionless watch of Napo that, students are complaining that they are being crammed into dormitories and being forced to sleep like sardines?
visionless watch of Napo that, young school girls are being forced to shit into polythene bags because there are no toilets in some of the schools?
Is it not under the visionless watch of Napo that, in some schools, the form one students have been turned into slaves by the form 2 and form 3 students because it is the school fees of the seniors that is being used to feed the form ones?
visionless watch of Napo that, an extremely foolish policy known us Voluntary Fund, is being setup to cater for their thoughtless Free SHS policy?
Where on earth is education funded through voluntary contributions?
Is it not only a visionless and outright ill-advised government, that will prevent parents from voluntarily paying PTA dues, yet introduce a Voluntary Fund to collect contributions to fund ed So, who and who, will voluntarily contribute to that Fund?
Will parents also be allowed to contribute to the Fund?
So, if parents will be allowed to contribute to the Voluntary Fund, why should they be prevented from voluntarily paying PTA dues?
Is not as clear as daylight that visionless Napo and his visionless NPP government did not think deep enough before rushing to implement the policy which has now become a monster that is eating up the education sector?
Is it not under the visionless watch of Napo that, the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) is warning of an imminent collapse of Ghana’s secondary school sector Under the visionary watch of Professor Opoku Agyemang, did Ghana not introduce all kinds of progressive policies in the Education Sector?
If nothing at all; was it not under the visionary watch of Professor Naana Opoku Agyemang, that, Ghana began to witness the Community Day Secondary Schools?
because of lack of funds to implement the imprudent populist Free SHS policy?
Was it not under the visionary watch of Professor Naana Opoku Agyemang that, we began to witness the progressively free SHS policy for day students?
Was it not under the visionary watch of Professor Naana Opoku Agyemang that, policies were put in place to increase the intake of teacher trainees so as to produce more teachers to reduce the teacher/student ratio?
Visionless Napo should tell us how many classrooms and dormitories he and his visionless government have provided, before unwisely introducing their senseless free SHS policy.
Without classrooms, dormitories, science laboratories, toilets, bathrooms etc, how can any serious government rush into implementing a free SHS policy?
But for the heavy investment that the NDC did in building infrastructure all over the country, would the situation not have been worse?
And instead of visionless Napo channelling his arrogant energies towards redeeming his tattered image vis-à-vis his superintending the gross failure of the free SHS policy of Akufo-Addo’s fast-sinking NPP administration, Napo rather chooses to open his snout and pour insults on persons who have left solid legacies in the Education Sector
As compared to the very rock-solid legacy of Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, what legacy will Napo leave?
Is it not a matter of fact that parents are now agitating that they want to go back to the old system of paying school fees and PTA dues so they can reduce the excruciating suffering and pain their children and wards are having to endure under this visionless free SHS policy? Oyiwa!!!
The haughtiness and abusive stance of Napo, is not what will solve the gargantuan problems that the visionless NPP Government has created in the education sector.
Napo and his clueless government should look FIX the problems and stop insulting Ghanaians who are expressing genuine concerns about the failure of the free SHS policy.
I ask: Does Napo think that becoming the Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, is a mean achievement, such that he can open his snout and senselessly pour invectives on the learned and respected Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang?
What positive thing will Napo be remembered for when his ignominious tenure comes to an end?
Will Napo not be remembered only for being the Education Minister who supervised the introduction of an extremely foolish policy which ended up destroying the quality of secondary education in Ghana?
Is it not sad that, in the name of politics, simpletons like Napo too can become Education Ministers?
Indeed, I can say with all certainty (though I do not claim to be a clairvoyant), that, Napo SHALL NEVER become a Professor nor SHALL he ever become the Vice Chancellor of any university in the world.
Did I hear a bird whisper into my ears that Napo too is nursing presidential ambitions? Is that what I am hearing?
So, Napo too thinks he can become President of Kwame Nkrumah’s Ghana? Ah! Ah! Ah
So, Akufo-Addo has reduced the Presidency to such a low level that Napo too thinks he can become President of Kwame Nkrumah’s Ghana? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
Mathew Opoku Prempeh; President of the Republic of Ghana. Apuuuuuuuuutor!!!!!
I rest my case for this week and pray we can meet again same time next week under the shade-giving Umbrella.
Hastaluego Amigos.
Shalom.

Ps.
I must praise the people who stood their grounds and overpowered the NPP’s Invisible Forces and Delta Forces who were sent by Sammy Awuku to go and disrupt the just-ended NUGS Congress in Legon.
I must congratulate all the persons who stood resolute and prevented the NPP’s hoodlums from disrupting the running of the election.
As for the NPP policemen who thought they could use their uniform to intimidate the students, I am sure they now know that right-thinking Ghanaians will not sit down and allow their rights to be trampled upon.
If the NPP is thinking that their goon squads will continue to operate with impunity; then what happened at Legon last week should send the clearest signal to the elephants that, well-prepared Ghanaians are ready to do all it takes to whip the foolishness out of those NPP hoodlums and hooligans.
Once again, ayekooo, to all those who fended of the attempts by the NPP thugs to disrupt the NUGS elections.
