A member of the communications team of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Gabby Assumin has expressed shocked at the way and manner elements in the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has started early with the sale of Ga lands in the Greater Accra region.
According to him, barely a year in government the NPP has started selling lands belonging to the Ga people again.
What will the NPP do to Ga lands if theyspend four years in government under the leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufdo-Addo. he averred
Gabby Assumin, who is aspiring for the position of Regional Director of Communications for the party made this revelation on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show hosted by Mr. Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on Accra-based Happy FM.
He says it amazes him how the NPP barely in power is arrogating onto itself lands meant for the Ga people.
He said only one year and sitting High Court judges are being thrown out of their official bungalows because it has been sold out to party people.
He said since 2008 when the property was sold to the said Ofosuhene Adjei, it did not go through because the then NDC government was against the sale of the Ga lands.
Ga people have been crying over the indiscriminate sale of their lands in Osu, Labone, Cantonments, Ridge among others in the Greater Accra Region.
He questioned what success will the party chuck in terms of the sale of Ga lands if it sends four or eight years in government.
