3 major reasons why Sarkodie and Kwaw Kese endorsed Shatta Wale
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Whatsapp

Shatta Wale’s Reign album launch event yesterday was a massive show which many describe as one of the best album launches in the Ghana Music Industry.

Shatta Wale at the Fantasy Dome inside Trade Fair in Accra really proved he is the King of Ghana Music and really answered to the claim.

Other great artists were on stage to support Shatta Wale. Hit-making duo, Keche as well as rapper Medikal were present to contribute to the event.

However, me and you know the fact that it was also boosted by the prior support of “seeming” Shatta Wale enemies, Sarkodie and Kwaw Kese.

Well, one would want to know why Shatta Wale got so many punches from Sarkodie and Kwaw Kese who only came in the end to support him.

#1 Sarkodie & Kwaw Kwese acknowledge the value of fame

The two giant artists all recorded a content for Shatta Wale in the course of their beef with him.

Sarkodie’s “My Advice” song directed at Shatta Wale actually confirmed that Shatta Wale is a great artist who is loved “by the streets”.

Though Kwaw Kese’s “Porkum” did not have any praises, both Sarkodie and Kwaw Kese realized that it is imprudent to hold a grudge against one of Ghana’s most popular artists in recent times.

Musically and commercially speaking, they may need him sooner or later.

#2 Over-heated “Beefs” in music can birth violence

Records reveal that American hip-hop culture is the most rated around the world and also known as one of the monstrous industry that has claimed the lives of artists and fans.

Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, and Kwaw Kese understand this story perfectly cos they are into hip-hop music. They are loved and have core fan bases that are willing to “fight and die” for them.

They both realized that violence is not the answer to any problems they have with Shatta Wale.

#3 Ghana needs a unified spearhead for the world

It has been said by some people that hip-hop beefs bring out the best in the spiting artistes. It is a bit like making the argument that competition proves the best.

But Ghana is not a big country and therefore not a big market. So commercial musicians may not necessarily benefit from beefing.

Sarkodie and Kwaw Kese may have just realized that it makes no sense when beefing is not going to give more money.
