Female dancehall artiste Lina Khay says even though she has some resemblance with the late dancehall sensation, Ebony Reigns, and she is not influenced by her style.
Speaking on ‘The Late Nite Celebrity Show’ on e.TV Ghana, Khay revealed how she felt about her features being associated with that of Ebony.
According to the Dancehall artist, it sometimes feels good to be associated with the late Afro-pop singer ebony but she thinks it is good that she creates her own brand.
“In the good memories of the dead, sometimes it’s normal but sometimes, I can’t take it upon myself as something good because I have to be on my own,” she said.
Lina Khay’s statement led the host of show Foster Romanus to ask if she has been influenced by the late Ebony Reigns.
Lina reacting to the question said, “Even though I like her works, I have not been influenced by her.”
Ebony died earlier this year in a gory car crash with two others. There have been a few look-alikes including Lina coming up after her death.
