Music duo R2Bees have said that they do not care whether or not they are awarded for their music.
In a tweet spotted by Happyghana.com, they replied to a fan who was publicizing their nomination for best group or duo of the year award at the upcoming Sound City Award Festival.
According to the ‘Plantain Chip’ hitmakers, they do not care about awards and neither should their fans.
The tweet read, “Thanks bro but we don’t care about awards and you shouldn’t too.”

So far they have nine awards out of twenty nominations at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA). They were also nominated at the BET awards in 2013, the Headies awards and the Nigerian Entertainment Awards both in 2013 and 2014 respectively
