Host of Happy FM’s ‘Epa hoa Daben’ political show, Kwame Afrifa-Mensah has been enstooled as the Asante-Agona Oyokohene of the Agona Traditional council.

The event, which had a colorful display of rich Ghanaian culture, saw Kwame Afrifa-Mensah, host of your number one current affairs program on Happy FM, enstooled and outdoored as the new Oyokohene of Asante-Agona at the durbar grounds of Agona traditional council on Sunday, March 3. The event had a host of dignitaries who came to support the newly enstooled Oyokohene.

Speaking after his enstoolment, Kwame Afrifa-Mensah thanked God and everyone present for making this beautiful thing happen.

“ I will like to thank the Oyoko Family for giving me this glorious position. I also want to thank owner of this town, Dr. Nana Anokye Frimpong who is the Paramount Chief of the Agona Traditional Council and all the elders and dignitaries present here.”

“I was enstooled as a Chief to lead the Oyoko clan. This is a call to duty. I will not be like Nebuchadnezzar to rule over you but I will use the wisdom of King Solomon to help the Paramount Chief and ultimately help the Agona Clan progress. I will be a listening chief and I will uphold the truth,” he said.

He added that one of the things he dislikes and will not tolerate as a chief is injustice.

“Though I am leading the clan , for us to progress, it depends on all of us. We need all hands on deck. I also promise that I will be present to serve my people. I am here to serve. God bless you all,” he disclosed.

Kwame Afrifa-Mensah joined Happy FM in 2017 as the Host of the award winning current affairs show Epa Hoa Daben that places emphasis on accountability, charging people in authority to be responsible and living up to expectation.

His exemplary efforts of rallying serial callers of both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) to come together as one family to dine and wine together, and also play football, is a unique gesture worth emulating.
