National third Vice Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Micheal Omari Wadie, has said that if the long standing feud between Dancehall rivals, Stonebwoy –born Livingstone Etse Satekla– and Shatta Wale –whose real name Charles Nii Armah Mensah– , is not solved immediately, it may end up deadly in the near future.

According to him, the altercation between the BHIM Natives’ boss, Stonebwoy and his bitter rival Shatta Wale may end up seeing one dead and the other going to jail for the rest of his life.

Speaking on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show, Omari Wadie said, “The followers of these artists should be very careful. If they don’t take care, this small fight may end up deadly and one may die out of it and the other will go to jail.”

He added that the security guard for Stonebwoy erred for handing over the gun to him.

“If you watch the video closely, you will see that the security guy for Stonebwoy handed over the gun to his master which was wrong and unprofessional. Going forward, those who called themselves celebrities should be very careful of how they handle themselves in the public space. The court is the best place to determine how they should be penalized. What they both did is as a result of immaturity,” Chairman Wadie said.

The brawl started after Stonebwoy had collected the award for ‘Best Bancehall Act’ at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards on Sunday morning ahead of his rival, Shatta Wale.

Unhappy with the result, Shatta Wale and his crew stormed the stage, sparking a mass brawl that brought the award ceremony to a standstill.
At one point, Stonebwoy was pictured standing at one side of the stage with a pistol clearly visible in his hand.

However, security guards intervened and the situation was diffused without anybody being injured. After a 30–minute break , the award ceremony resumed.

The duo were picked up by the Ghana Police Service in the early hours of Sunday and they were both granted bail on Monday evening.

Both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have since been arraigned before an Accra circuit court.
