Happy FM’s sources in the camp of the Black Stars says that skipper and Captain Andre Ayew is likely to miss out on the Ghana and Cameroon AFCON clash due to a minor injury on the ankle joint.
According to the source, Ayew the winger for super league club Fenerbahçe failed to train with the team yesterday due to the injury.
This will be a big blow to the Black Stars if he is unable to recover before for Ghana’s next game on Saturday, June 29, 2019, which will be against The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
Andre and Jordan Ayew were both on target as 10-man Ghana were forced to settle for a draw against Benin in AFCON Group F opener.
Ayew becomes the country’s all-time top scorer in the history of the AFCON after scoring against Benin.
