Some Ghanaians have started a campaign on social media to ensure that the new Parliamentary Chamber Block which has been proposed by parliamentarians of Ghana is not constructed.
The cost of the new building is said to cost a whopping $200m and this has angered several Ghanaians who maintain that the country cannot afford this at this stage in its development.
In a video sighted on Instagram, Rapper Kwaw Kese has also added his voice and he’s really angry about it.
In a video, the musician dared these parliamentarians to go ahead with their plan and they will see what will happen. To him, it does not make sense to use that kind of money to build a new block for parliamentarians when several schools in Ghana are conducted under trees.
There is a campaign going on which has the hashtag #DropthatChamber is currently the top trend on Twitter.
