The Golden Arms, Ghana’s national wrestling team is heading to Bamako – Mali full of smiles after they were presented with customized Strike kits by Club Consult Africa for their title defence.

The Golden Arms, who will be defending their African championship winning Title in Bamako, are set to leave Ghana on Thursday July 11 to compete in the 10th Africa Arm Wrestling Championship.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, representative of Strike and director of Club Consult Africa, Yussif Chibsah said, he is elated to associate with the Arm wrestling federation, and believes the partnership will go a long way to help the Golden Arms to defend their title in Mali.

President of the Ghana Arm Wrestling Federation, Mr Charles Osei Asibbey who received the kits on behalf of the athletes said, the team is traveling to the championship with 10 athletes, and expect to return with not less than 20 medals.

Mr Osei Asibbey expressed appreciation to companies and individuals who have come to support the federation including Kofi Krom Pharmacy, Opportunities international, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and many others.

He said, “when we contacted Club Consult Africa, he told us, they don’t only do Football, but do sports”.

He stressed the kits have been customized in the name of the Golden arms, which means Ghana will look unique going into the championship.
