Kwesi Alfonso tops the GMABC Fantasy League for August as the battle continues for who wins a trip to Sao Tome

The month of August saw fierce competition between the over ten thousand teams and managers registered with the GMABC league with a close calling of an average two points difference between the top five position.

After weekly reviews across the GMABC platforms; Y Triangle of Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi, Happy FM and e.TV Ghana.

A second year student of the University of Development Studies (UDS), Wa campus Alfonso Bemia Ackah beat a stiff competition to emerge winner of the GMABC Fantasy League for the month of August.

Managing Powerful FC under the name Kwesi Alfonso. The Bsc. Planning student was able to accumulate a total of two hundred and eighty-eight (288) points to reign supreme over the other four top managers of the GMABC Fantasy league competitors.

Speaking about his win, the 18 year-old could not contain his joy. ‘’I joined the Fantasy League just to enjoy myself but here I am today winning a jersey of my favourite team; Manchester City. I am going to keep on playing to win the grand prize of a fully paid trip to Sao Tome” he declared.

Kwesi Alfonso beat Lazy Fingers and Charles Kwenin who placed 2nd with two hundred and eighty-six points (286) a piece and Ozymandias and Samuel Tweneboah who also finished in third place with two hundred and eighty-four (284) points each.
