The editor of The Daily Searchlight newspaper, Mr. Kenneth Agyei Kuranchie has claimed that the recent mass failure of students at the law entrance examination is intended to hinder people from becoming lawyers in the country.

He was speaking in an interview with Nana Afrifa Mensah on the “Epahoa Daben” show, aired on Happy FM when he said: “The mass failure of students in the law entrance exams is a deliberate and malicious conduct to frustrate people in becoming lawyers in the country.”

According to him, the country lacks the passable amount of lawyers needed to run the legal affairs of the various institutions in the country. Therefore, it will be a great disservice to the country if qualified students were failed on purpose.

He also urged the lecturers of the Ghana school of Law to speak up and counter this calculated efforts to reduce intake of students at the Ghana School of Law.

The Ghana School of Law has currently recorded a mass failure of the law entrance exams as 1692 students out of 1820 students fail, constituting about 93% failure.
