Ghana FA decides: Fred Pappoe Launches Manifesto

Former Ghana Football Association (GFA), Vice President comma Fred Pappoe has  launched  his manifesto for the GFA seat at The Octagon, disclosing his vision and ambitions for Ghana Football  as well as his means of achieving the goals ahead of the presidential elections on 25 October.

Fred Pappoe manifesto’s focuses on FIVE ‘R’s; Recovering, Restoring, Redeeming, Repairing and Reviving Ghana football.

 He revealed that given the nod, he will use the five Rs to bring back the lost love and support from the public and corporate world.

The launch event held at Accra City Hotel was graced by two of his opponents, Lawyer George Ankoma Mensah and Kurt E S Okraku; notable football gurus such as Lawyer Kweku Eyiah, Randy Abbey, Nana Oduro Nyarko, Mr Albert Yahaya Commey,Samuel Anim Addo, Fiifi Tackie and others.

Some highlights of the manifesto:

1.            Set up a desk at the FA for the foreign based players.

2.            Institute fans scheme.

3.            Formation of Council of Elders for the GFA when I am elected as the next FA President to serve as an advisory board .

4.            Instituting a tertiary league and ultimately revive the academical concept.

5.            Training military men as referees to curb crowd violence at games.

6.            Adoption of appropriate code of conduct for officials,national team coaches,referees and national team players

7.            All-inclusive system of management that utilizes the competencies of all persons including those outside the immediate football circle.

8.            Introduction of a mandatory insurance scheme  for all players ,teams,officials and referees

9.            Reorganization of Juvenile football (academy and colts).

10.          Club licensing will be strictly enforced.

The program was hosted by celebrated female broadcaster,Nana Aba Anamoah and chaired by Prof Mrs.  Goski Alabi.
