Accra Great Olympics and King Faisal have been included in the new Ghana Premier League season.
The Normalisation Committee proposed an 18-team league for the next Ghana Premier League season which was approved by Congress.
In a poll 64 members out of 120 delegates agreed to the motion which officially confirms the two division one teams will join the elite league in the new season.
Both teams had standing legal issues with the old Football Association concerning their relegation status.
By this pronouncement, the Ghana Premier League will see an increase from 16 to 18 teams.
The Ghana Premier League has been played with 16 teams for over two decades now.
