Black Stars media officer,Tamimu Issah, revealed that the players are not worried about the state of the Esadio Nacional de 12 Julho pitch ahead of today’s game against the Selecao of São Tomé.

The team will face São Tomé in the second group game of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers hoping to register another win to stay on top of group C ahead of South Africa,Sudan and Sao Tome.

Speaking to Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports,Tamimu Issah stated that the team is engrossed in winning today’s game.

“The players are focus on achieving a 100 percent record in qualifying to the 2021 AFCON tournament. The stadium that we are playing our game is the only pitch that they play all their league matches on so there are challenges but the players are focus ahead of the game.”-he revealed.

He added that “The weather here is very hot. As a team you always have to adapt when you travel for away games . The players are aware of these conditions even at the home, sometimes the conditions are not favorable.”

“I will be surprised if the stadium can take more than 500 people but that’s not something that will worry our players. When playing qualifiers on the African continent you’ve to be ready for any situation.”, he concluded.

Ghana is expecting to make two wins in two games, after beating South Africa on Thursday at the Cape Coast Stadium.
