Karim Mumuni emerged as the winner of the first ever Teqball prize winning competition held in Asante Agogo in the Ashanti Region.

The competition was part of the Federation activities to develop and promote the sport across the country.

The two-day event organized by the Teqball Ghana Federation saw 46 games played among various competitors with the elimination games held on the first day and the semi-final, finals on the second day.

According to the organizers the competition was held in Asante Agogo because one of the players to represent Ghana at the All Africa Games in Cape Verde hailed from the community, thus he was used as a reference in order to attract the youth of the community to fall in love in the game.

One of the players who represented Ghana in Cape Verde, Samuel Aidoo was equipped and tasked to lead in terms of Officiating.

He was supported from the technical bench by one of the Federation’s Technical Officers, Dennis Adjei.

Daniel Ofobi won the Juniors event after he beat off competition from the other players.

The main event saw Karim Mumuni picking the first prize in the Senior Singles.

Karim Mumuni and Kwadwo Sarpong also emerged as winners for the doubles event.

The two winners are likely to represent Ghana at the Teqball World Championship to be held in Budapest between 6- 8 December.
