Ghanaian Rapper,Singer and Songwriter Kwame Ametepe Tsikata popularly known as M.anifest has said that Ghanaian artistes should focus on their crafts and how they can improve themselves rather than focusing on a CNN list that does not identify them as great artistes.

He was speaking in an interview on the DryveOnY show aired on Y97.9FM when he stated: “I have no interest in this issue. We spend too much energy inthings we cannot control. Mine is to do the work and make an impact”.
According to him, musicians should view their the work they do to entertain their fans as more important than the CNN list of top musical artistes in Africa.

CNN on November 22, 2019, published a compilation of 10 Africa’s biggest stars in the music industry which included 5 Nigerian musicians(Burna Boy, Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid and Mr Eazi) two South Africans(Sho Madjozi and Busiswa Gqulu), Angelique Kidjo from Benin, Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania and Mwila Musonda from Zambia.

Interestingly, no Ghanaian musician made it into the subjective list making Ghanaians wonder how some of our big artistes like Sarkodie, M.anifest, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s name couldn’t make it to list.
