The Prisons Interdenominational Church Choir yesterday, December 17, 2019 thrilled listeners of Happy 98.9 FM with melodious carol tunes on Happy FM’s drive time show.
As part of the station’s efforts in celebrating the festive season with its valuable listeners, the station dedicated its Drive Time Show, the Ayekoo After Drive show to celebrate the approach of Christmas.

The cantonments based choir led by choirmaster Kingsford Eduah Mensah warmed the studios of Happy FM and the airwaves with a variety of Christmas tunes including Hark! The Herald Angels Sing from composer Felix Mendelssohn, Christ The Newborn King, Angels From The Realms Of Glory amongst others.

Speaking on the initiative, Programmes Manager of Happy 98.9 FM, Mr. Emmanuel Akrumah made known that, “The Happy Carols Night was done in partnership with the Prisons Interdenominational Church Choir to prepare and ginger listeners into the festive season. It is also to let listeners know that we remember them and cannot celebrate the festive season without their participation. We plan on giving them nothing but the best during this festive season and also treat them to quality programming.”

Elated listeners also sent in series of messages indicating their appreciation and love towards the station for having the Happy Carols Night with them. A listener, Kingsford Ahwireng commented saying, “I am enjoying the night of carols from my home, the sound is clear, the choir sings beautifully. Happy mo y3 guy.”

Another listener who identified himself as Guilty Love also said, “Happy 98.9 has proven itself as a thought leader once more. The carols night with the Prisons choir was great. Thank you for thinking about your listeners once more. We love you.”

He further appreciated listeners and other stakeholders for their unending support throughout the year and urged them to keep being with Happy 98.9FM for “Happy Times Are Coming”, he said.

Choirmaster Kingsford Eduah Mensah was also appreciative of Happy FM for inviting them to celebrate the festive season with them. “It was a real pleasure to celebrate the festive season with Happy FM and its listeners. We hope to do this with your favorite station next year”, he said.
